We are happy to state that the Delhi Exposure programme of our Little Flower School Manja is accomplished with God's blessings. We believe that school excursions provide a very effective means of motivating children to participate in and gain real benefit from a variety of learning experiences. Exploring the world of our National Capital, Delhi and Agra was an important part of our education program of the year 2008. There are many reasons why we have decided to take our Children to Delhi our National Capital. It will be a dream fulfilled for many of our children. All these children are traveling out of their locality for the first time and for the first time traveling in the train. Other reasons for this initiative include National integration, educational inspiration, exposure to historical monuments and knowledge and empathy for the natural world. We do hope that this experience, whether it's a trip to a museum, historical site, becomes a part of the child's collective memory, something to share and recollect for years to come.
As you are well aware a project of this sort involves lot of finance for journey, food and accommodation, entry passes for various places, local travel expense in Delhi and Agra etc. Practically all the children of our school hail from poverty stricken families and were multiple victims of violence and natural calamities. They have given a sum of Rs.1000 from their own year long savings. However, this was not adequate to cover the expenses of the programme. It is in this context we had approached you for your generous contribution towards this dream of our children. We are happy in getting the word of "THANK YOU" to you. The trip was indeed a memorable journey for 58 of our children from November 5th to 13th, 2008.
While we are still excited about it, we have been thinking about you with an ever growing thankful heart. The more we talk about it, the more we feel grateful to you. On their return we asked our children to write down ten things that we feel most thankful for. As you can imagine, on the top of our list is YOU --- the Support you have rendered to us even though you do not know us personally. Your support significantly contributed to the happiness of our children from this remote part of the country. Every one of us in is eternally indebted to you for what you did for us. We thank you again and again, and would greatly appreciate your friendship and support in the future. May God bless you all!
